It was my privilege to care for you Gerry at Poldhu Nursing Home. We brightened each others days with wonderful conversations about current affairs, molecular science (which i knew nothing about) and our life experiences. On one such occasion as i entered your room you were eager to share your thoughts on death. “Yesterday when i died” was your opening line…. You thought this would be a superb title for a book!! You told me that you believed no one ever really died but that all our atoms and molecules were simply redistributed into the atmosphere. Food for thought!
I will miss our chats, your wisdom and your wicked sense of humour. I will eternally miss you my dear friend.
Maybe one day i will write that book x
